Software Product Manager/Full Time Remote (candidates must reside in US or Canada and not require a work permit)

Job Summary

Edcetera is seeking an experienced product manager to drive the development of our new platform, providing career support and community to our customers and partners in regulated fields across North America. This presents an opportunity to shape a software product line from the ground up, from research through to delivery, deployment and launch via tight cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining and documenting B2B and B2C personas
  • Crafting user research best practices tailored to our market space and deployable across our verticals
  • Conducting user and buyer research to identify needs, pain points, and opportunities
  • Assessing feasibility to select actionable insights
  • Working with Design to develop working prototypes to test with users, and iterate on findings
  • Using experience and business sense to synthesize findings into strategy
  • Turning vision and strategy into tactical roadmaps
  • Ensuring the platform is built on time and within budget, while successfully meeting target market needs
  • Collaborating with Marketing on go-to-market strategies and launch plans
  • Ensuring products meet internal business and operational needs, and spearheading internal education initiatives to train team on new tools

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a product or other holistic business role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen business sense, and use of that discretion to drive product success
  • Extensive experience working cross-functionally and finesse to influence without authority
  • Experience working with software, and software engineers
  • Autonomous and self-driven
  • Works collaboratively to get results
  • Innately curious and natural problem solver, with practiced critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable creating process and procedure, and operationalizing/standardizing
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and/or regulated industries
  • Proficiency in modern workplace SaaS suites (Google and Microsoft office suites)
  • Project/time management experience

Preferred Skills     

  • Experience building from products from scratch and successfully taking new product lines to market
  • Experience working with remote teams

Compensation

  •      Starting salary: $100,000, commensurate with experience
